As many of you know, Ard na Sidhe Country House Hotel is a seasonal property which traditionally welcomes guests between the months of April and September annually. Normally at this time, the hotel is a hive of activity, with guests embarking on an adventure day hiking in the Reeks District, fishing on the pristine Caragh Lake, strolling through the gorgeous gardens or simply relaxing with Afternoon Tea by the fire.
We have carefully abided by all government guidelines and protocols, and under the published roadmap for lifting restrictions in Ireland, hotels may not currently reopen prior to June 29th (previously 20th July). After careful consideration, it is with a heavy heart that we confirm, our beloved Ard na Sidhe will not be reopening for the 2020 season. This has been an incredibly difficult and sad decision for us to make, and we hope that under these challenging circumstances you can understand our action.
Even in light of this difficult decision, we are, and always will be incredibly optimistic for the future. Our doors will reopen in 2021 and we will be there to warmly welcome friends old and new to Ard na Sidhe Country House Hotel.
Naturally this is not how we envisioned our summer season. We are a nation of ‘Cead Míle Fáilte’ or ‘One Hundred Thousand Welcomes’ and we cannot wait to return to what we love and do best - and return we will!
