The Gardens

The Glorious Gardens at Ard na Sidhe

Ard na Sidhe lies nestled between 32 acres of spectacular gardens. Hidden pathways and secret glades give way to the lake & mountains beyond.

The gardens were originally designed by Lady Edith Gordon, a keen gardener, traveler and writer. As the original owner of the house Lady Gordon planted many trees and laid out a number of garden features and her spectacular rock garden remains an integral feature of the gardens at Ard na Sidhe.

Since the late 1970's many rare and unusual trees and shrubs have been supplied by Hilliers, the Hampshire nursery farm. The gardens at Ard na Sidhe Country House Hotel are as enchanting today as they ever were and remain under the watchful eye of the Killarney Hotels' Head Gardener and his meticulous team.

The perfect place to while away an afternoon, playing croquet, enjoying afternoon tea on the terrace or simply exploring, the gardens at Ard na Sidhe are a must for every visitor.
